Ram is based out of the Phoenix Office, DPR Construction. As one of the vConstruct leaders, Ram oversees the vConstruct USA team (operational group at DPR) and focuses primarily on-influencing the DPR leaders and scaling up vConstruct teams on-site. He leads a team of vConstruct Regional leads that influence vConstruct integration on project teams and business units and establish the strategic influence of vConstruct for DPR. The sphere of influence includes, Design and Construction (VDC), Operations and Preconstruction Technologies, Strategic technology initiatives, & Innovation.
Ram collaborates extensively with academia and leading research groups in the United States exploring issues related to Advanced Work Packaging, Integrated Project Delivery methods, Lean Construction and VDC to move the industry forward. Ram’s research work includes international journals and publications focusing on spatial change analysis, & real-time control of work packaging, which is a part of the “The Practitioner’s Guide to Essential Lean Research” published by the LCI (Lean Construction Institute). Ram has also contributed write-ups on the “Integrated Information” chapter of the book called “Integrating Project Delivery” written by Atul Khanzode, Dean Read, (DPR Leaders) & Howard Ashcroft, in April 2017.
Ram has Master’s in Architecture & Regional Planning, focused on sustainability and Green Buildings, from University of Oregon.
Ram is a very active cricket enthusiast and has played in numerous semi-professional leagues in Chennai, US & Canada. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, daughter & son. He loves the outdoors and his cardio routines that include biking, swimming, or hiking outdoors. If nothing else, he could be found napping or reading a book on philosophy, history, life concepts or team building/professional growth.
